a mom lets her 10 year old and 7 year old go to the grocery store unsupervised for the first time ever and a 79 year old in an SUV mows over the 7 year old as he’s crossing a 4 lane street and kills him. no charges for the murderer - police said there was “no evidence of wrongdoing” - but the parents (both of them) are getting charged with felony involuntary manslaughter and misdemeanor child neglect.
this country is so fucking inhospitable to children. they cannot leave their fucking houses because of our obsession with driving 3000 pound child flattening machines. every year the SUVs and trucks get taller and taller and you physically cannot see children trying to cross the street and people just don’t fucking care enough to do anything about it. we built our entire society to prioritize child flattening machines over actual children even though lower profile cars are perfectly servicable for the vast majority of use cases. our government would rather legislate and litigate children into de facto imprisonment than threaten auto industry profits.

So far in LA an Australian news reporter has been shot in the leg by a rubber bullet, a British reporter has been shot by a sponge bullet and sent to the hospital for emergency surgery. A NY Post reporter has been shot in the head with a rubber bullet and went to the hospital for a large bruise on his forehead, whiplash and neck pain, and CNN reporters were handcuffed and escorted away being told to not come back or they will be arrested BECAUSE they are reporters.
It seems like all reporters there to give the real story are being targeted by police/ICE/military in LA.

• Its revealed Stephen Miller and Elon Musk have had a very massive fight, supposedly because Elon Musk is sleeping with Miller’s wife
• Trump ousts Elon from the administration, after over five months of being besties. Leaves with Stephen Miller’s wife, who he just hired at one of his companies (!?)
• Elon starts saying the Big Beautiful Bill sucks
• A GOP Representative reveals that most of them didnt actually get to read the Big Beautiful Bill, GOP leadership basically made them rubber stamp it and they are pissed to find out it makes them all look horrible. A lot of them are now discussing a shakeup in GOP leadership.
• Trump says Elon has “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (🤮)
• Elon escalates massively, stating that Trump is in the Epstein files and THATS why they havent released them yet
• This comes right as Alex Jones loses a massive chunk of his audience because he’s endorsing Trump’s Palantir contract, and his fans are basically all very concerned about their privacy. They want a new conspiracy to follow and they just got one
• Trump starts threatening Elon’s government contracts
• Ian Miles Cheong calls for Trump to be impeached immediately, and for JD Vance to become President. Elon Musk quote retweets this with “Yes”
• JD Vance was mentored by Peter Thiel
• Steve Bannon takes to Fox calling for the immediate deportation of Musk, and making SpaceX a public company

• Tesla stock dropped a fuckton
• Crypto is dropping faster than before
• Musk also called for formation of a Third Party in the U.S. representing the “80% in the center” (Lmao). This has Centrists, establishment Dems, and GOP who are fed up with Trump SALIVATING
• There’s a serious chance that they could form exactly such a coalition, which would lead to a massive shakeup in US Politics, its hard to say how exactly itll end up, but I daresay we wont end up with the same Dem/GOP structure we had before

So I just realised that the EU has a common defense clause, Article 42(7).
If the Hague invasion act was actually invoked by Trump, or if he just straight up tried to invade a territory of a member state, the entire EU “shall have towards it an obligation of aid and assistance by all the means in their power”, a clause that requires immediate compliance (no centralised approval necessary) and that seemingly in opinion of the European Parliament, superseeds NATO itself, not to mention that it asks far more of its members (all the means in their power).
If Trump actually decided to invade Greenland or something else like that, Denmark could totally invoke Article 42(7) and have the entire European Union obligated to send what they can.
This is like when Nazi Germany attacked a few colonial powers and then triggered a world war because all of those colonies declared war as well.
Obviously, the EU doesn’t really have the force it needs to stand up to the US, but I’m sure China wouldn’t miss out on the opportunity to redefine the world order in its favor.
