February 2025

Hey!

While it might be a bit anxiety inducing for some, there is a Project 2025 tracker so that you can easily keep up with what Trump is doing and what things are currently in progress. Without having to sift through tons of depressing news coverage.

You can use the in progress filter to quickly find out where the fight is at currently, and you can also see which agencies have and have not already been impacted.

Keep your messaging simple:

“Trump fired everyone in charge of airplane safety, and a week later planes started crashing into each other.”

That’s it. That’s the messaging. Don’t get bogged down disputing Trump’s false claims. Just blame him, in short and repeatable sentences.

Hey, you guys chose these people. This is exactly what “Blue No Matter Who” was always going to lead to. Mindless and indiscriminate support for a political party means the political party will ignore you and chase big donors, and big donors don’t want Trump stopped because his policies are good for them. You fucking idiots were warned, over and over again, that your blind support of the worst Democrats was going to end in disaster, and you refused to hold them accountable in any way at all. Well, congratulations, you got what you wanted.

You people do realise there is no way to keep a party accountable in a two party system that you can’t dislodge, right?

There is no amount of lost elections that will actually hurt the democrats other than the amount that makes them seem unable to ever win.

They only care about having enough ‘strongholds’ where they get to effectively appoint the officials to be able to insider trade and serve Establishment interests, that’s it. They are spineless because they have no purpose other than soaking up the monetary and labor contributions of anyone not in support of the republicans and using them to get lucrative positions.

The Ratchet only turns in one direction, you must use a different mechanism to move it in the other.

Quietly losing my mind over the fact that Elon Musk has straight up orchestrated a coup of our executive branch and like….I don’t even know what, if any, system we have in place to fix this. Like… He’s just taken control of the money and locked out the actual appointed officials. What the fuck.

Nazis are taking over my government, and like, not even just the Nazis we fucking elected! And I’m…making hamburgers? Because somebody has to make dinner? I just feel completely unhinged.

I think that’s how random civillians generally feel in these situations. Someone’s gotta make dinner.

If you’re wondering, there is plenty to be done about it, and plenty being done about it already, even if it’s not happening instantly in a way you can perceive.

Reblogging because this is an excellent article that both tells you about some of what’s being done and breaks it down in a way that will help you understand and think about future action. Please read!

Americans, did you know there were mass protests all across the country over Super Bowl weekend?

Coast-to-coast, from DC…

… to Portland

… from blue states

… to red states

And nary but *crickets* from the national media. The revolution is NOT being televised, it is being suppressed.

Just remember, you are NOT alone. People ARE doing things. You will meet those people when YOU start doing things.

But we cannot rely on the courts alone. Trump is already defying numerous restraining orders, and the Executive branch controls the enforcement arm of federal law (U.S. Marshals Service).

When Trump inevitably refuses to comply with the courts and directs the DOJ/U.S. Marshals to stand down, effectively neutering the Judicial branch of the government, it will signal THE END OF U.S. DEMOCRACY.

Our only recourse will be to take to the streets. WE THE PEOPLE, need to demand rule of law by asserting our First Amendment right to assemble while we still have it.

Rise up against tyranny/oligarchy/white supremacy/you-name-it

JOIN THE REVOLUTION!
National Day of Protest
Presidents’ Day | February 17, 2025

And pledge to join the General Strike.

Yo, correct me if I am wrong please, but didn’t Hitler rise to power because he promised to fix the German economy and people really liked that so they looked past everything else he was doing??? Like exactly what’s happening in America right now???

So many people said they voted for Trump, put a truly evil person in power, because he said he’d fix the economy, and a little voice in my head is going, “Isn’t that what happened with fucking Hitler??”

But I’ve seen no one point that out so maybe I’m miss remembering???????

Hitler actually did tariffs as well! He had very similar ultranationalist economic policies as trump, such as self-sufficiency, tariffs, allowing cartels and monopolies to rein supreme at the expense of small businesses. Though, Hitler had a larger emphasis on slave labor that was supplied by the concentration camps and the incarcerated population. The United States does use its prisoners for what basically amounts to slave labor, though, but not nearly at those levels.

Hitler, also worked with big technology names like Siemens Volkswagen and Philips, though Volkswagen was founded during his reign.

But Hitler and his advisors weren’t that dumb, so they used price controls, wage controls, rent controls, etc. To keep things in check.

Oh, and Hitler totally ruined the German economy, btw

So in the end, it seems he wizened up a bit and didn’t actually go through with it. Seems he doesn’t want to be the President overseeing the worst inflation price gouging in American history.

A table with two columns, the first labeled "Scenario 1 — 20% Universal Tariffs and 60% China Tariffs" and the other labeled "Scenario 2 — 25% Canada and Mexico Tariffs and 10% China Tariffs". The first column under the row "GDP" has -1.3%, under the row "Capital Stock" has -0.3% and under "Pre-Tax Wages" has 0.0% and under the row "Full-Time Equivalent Employment" has -1.1 million. The second column under the row "GDP" has -0.4%, under the row "Capital Stock" has -1.4% and under "Pre-Tax Wages" has 0.0% and under the row "Full-Time Equivalent Employment" has -330 thousand. Finally, in a side section it shows that the vast majority of damage in the second scenario comes from Canada and Mexico instead of China.ALT

(Scenario 1 is his promises, Scenario 2 is what he actually ordered to be done.)

I mean, it’s still going to be horrible, horrifying that he is targeting US America’s closest neighbors really, but not nearly at the economy shattering levels that he promised.
