I think that this exact effect is what’s happening to Mr Beast, a few allegations and pieces of evidence slowly but surely snowballing into ever larger exposés as various efforts to actually investigate him and his victims are emboldened by the mounting evidence of other problematic behaviour
For example, at first the things we knew he faked were on the smaller side
Now it seems like he faked far more than the first investigations uncovered but those second investigations only happened because he was already under scrutiny
