Hey not to serious up this fun post, but.

Take note of which companies in America persist with rainbow capitalism this June, and which ones quietly refrain from participating.

Because the ones that don’t participate are the ones who were never actually interested even nominally in queer rights/wellbeing/etc. With Trump in the hotseat and queer rights being stripped back in every way he can manage it, the social landscape in America has changed, and blatantly support of queer folk is not necessarily the same money-maker it has been in recent years.

Which means that the companies that persist in openly supporting queer people, even in Trump’s America? Theres a good chance these are the ones who will support queer people regardless of what the social flavour of the month is.

Its not a foolproof way of recognising good, trustworthy, safe companies, of course. There will still be asshole companies that attempt to play both sides of the field, and will keep up the rainbow capitalism whilst also helping fund/platform/support conservative policies/politicians/etc.

But it IS a good way of identifying BAD companies.

Kind of like how some companies kept DEI guidelines even when the federal mandate for them was revoked — and other companies ditched their DEI policies the very second that they were allowed to. Is a company that keeps DEI guidelines automatically a trustworthy, moral company? Maybe. Maybe not. But any company that immediately gets rid of their DEI policies can be accurately identified as a shit company.

Same rule applies for companies that participated in Pride in past years, but quietly bows out of it this year. Take note of which keep it up, and which are absent.
