The viewership numbers are extremely important for the show’s success and future. Until we can all escape to Preservation, making a flashy sci-fi show requires lots of hard currency.
Even if the show isn’t perfectly faithful to the books, it sounds like it’s going to be a whole lot more faithful than what a lot of books get. Supporting the show is a good way to vote with your dollar to show that we want more faithful adaptations of books in general. And show that mainstream shows with queer and neurodivergent characters and storylines are important!
