running a disability blog is genuinely insane because we’ll say basic shit like “hey people with cancer don’t have it easier” and someone inevitably loudly responds to argue against this and refuse to back down. and like every other note is someone saying “yeah when i told people i got cancer they spat in my face” or “people treated me like i was already dead” or “her husband was yelling at her for ruining their holiday because if her cancer made her piss blood (a legitimate concern) she wouldn’t be able to fly and she told him this” [<- real story about someone i know]. i mean it’s easier for me to see notes on my own post but like it’s not like other people can’t check them too. am i out of my mind like what. and this happens with every goddamn thing it’s like [harrowing story of abuse] x 15 and [one guy who thinks you’re talking shit and disabled people are privileged crybabies]
