Grocery shopping, even online is a nightmare. It’s like when somebody asks what do you want for Christmas" and you forget everything you’ve ever desired, except I have to do it every 2 weeks or so. “Hey what food do you want us to bring you” I don’t fuckign. know. I’ve never eaten in my life.
They should invent a service that decides healthy, well-rounded meals for me and brings me the ingredients so I don’t have to think about oh fuck that’s hellofresh I’m just reinventing hellofresh
Everyone in the notes telling me to keep some kind of running list or use recipe apps is vastly overestimating my organisational skills. Last week I treated myself to an expensive half pineapple, completely forgot about it, and found it yesterday and ate the entire thing in one sitting because it was the last day that I trusted it to be edible. I lean hard into frozen and tinned foods not because I don’t have time to cook but because they won’t rot in my freezer. When I look up recipes my #2 concern (#1 is cost of ingredients) is not taste or nutrition, it’s “if I forget to cook this for 3 days, then cook it and dump it in the freezer and forget about it for 11 months, then defrost it and forget about it in the fridge for 3 more days, will it still be good.” I am not. Organised enough for this.
Dear god this looks amazing
