There’s a recurring theme of a certain type of guy I witness in detractors of transandrophobia theory and I find them really strange.
They’re the kind of person who is like, “no, trans men are identical and equal to cis men and are basically the same as cis men and we have so much power and privilege because we are men, we don’t need special words or to talk about our problems because we are men, we should be using our powerful male voices to uplift those inferior weak women’s voices that I could totally get away with being hateful to because I’m a man but I don’t because I have so much power and I’m using it to protect feeble women”
And it’s like. Do you not see how misogynistic that is. Do you not see the toxic masculinity. Why do you feel so affirmed in your gender because you feel you have privilege and power. Why do you think in order to be a man you have to benefit from privilege.
It’s weird and gross.
