I recall that when the She-Ra reboot came out there were some complaints that it was irretrievably tainted by modern attitudes towards identity politics or had the wrong art style or what have you and that seems funny as the original show is so obviously a product of its time, not least the way they look like a Eurovision entry from the ‘70s.
