working here so far is rlly eye opening to the kinds of health we need to start doing like rn while we r young tbfh both physical and mental like im about to take my posture and stretching / working out more serious bc the amount of absolutely destroyed backs and lost of ability to do basic functions is crazy in some of my residents and another thing is if you have bad relationships to food or dieting you need to ummmm fix that, very soon, one of my residents is constantly talking about how she needs to lose weight and can’t eat bc shes gotten too fat (she is 109 pounds) and says she needs to look 26 again and this lady is constantly being sent out for literal ivs and feeding tubes bc she refuses to eat a lot and barely gets but on protein shakes and other stuff in that group and she has terrible dementia, cant remember her name her age her children her husband her achievements how to even use a remote but she remembers the intentional starving and is eternally punishing herself for shit she stuck to in her younger years and idk yall the “hehe only eating a iced coffee and a cigarette” shit isn’t gonna be cute anymore when ur in one of these homes (and thats the luckier outcome) and u can’t remember shit but that u “need” to starve yourself
