Honestly, I think we need to hear these truths. And also saddening that nothing seems to have really changed. Anne of Green Gables, a “classic” book, took 8 years to get published, was rejected by Canadian publishers to be picked up by a US publisher, and then that same publisher screwed over L. M. Montgomery later (it led to a long court case).

Frank Herbert’s Dune, one of the moast influential and moast adapted works of Scence Fiction was rejected one HUNDRED times before it got published.
