It just occurred to me that the phrase “Neo-Nostalgia” is not an actual popular phrase that most people know. It’s a phrase that I made up in my head and have been using to describe that “trendy” feeling of nostalgia younger people (Gen Z) gets towards era they were never apart of. IE, 1920s, 1950s, 1970s, 1980s, etc.
I just had this realization because I learned the real word for that concept. It’s “Anemoia.”
I kinda my own better. The real word gives me “anonymous” or “anemia” vibes, but I guess I’ll start using it, regardless. 😵💫
