nostalgiathriving:

One thing they don’t tell you about getting into FNaF is that eventually, if you’re the creative type, you will decide it would be fun to make a little something inspired by it. It’s not so hard at first, it’s just easy-ish things, until you realize how impressive it’d be if you made something bigger. And so, you get to work plotting out even more— you could probably make a neat rod puppet out of this! But rod puppets are usually only a top half… we could make the bottom half, too, drop the rods, and just make a sort of fullbody puppet, more like a fursuit! We can make a fursuit, yes, just like a real mascot performer! And, you know, it’s be neat if the eyes blinked on their own, so we’ll add some animatronic parts to the inside of the head, just a little, really, so we can get into working with servos. And this could really use some more tech, and some more, and more…

Suddenly, you don’t recognize yourself anymore. You’ve devoted yourself to creating the scary animatronic from the game about scary animatronics. It’s in your house. It’s in your illegible notes. Evidence of your invention is everywhere. You can’t stop. You want to crawl inside and become one with it. It looks cozy in there.

…And then you go “maybe this is a bad idea” because you are never beating the William Afton allegations by now. You’re me. I’m doing his to myself for funzies.
