Even more insane how many people within the trans community will tell fat trans people to ‘just lose x pounds’ instead of criticizing the BMI limits themselves

Here are a few resources for surgeons that will perform top surgery with either no BMI limit or a much higher limit than other surgeons!!! Note that the google doc also specifies surgeons that do bottom surgery and hysterectomies. Fat Trans ppl that want top surgery deserve the same care and compassion that thin people get when it comes to medical care.

I wanna add that I just checked the FEDUP Collective mentioned here, which mentions some non-US surgeons (super excited about that as a Canadian!!) and is supposedly up-to-date.
In Toronto specifically it mentions the Women’s College Hospital and lists their BMI limit at 40, but this is no longer true! WCH actually has NO BMI limit currently, which makes it super popular. I was actually really hoping to get my top surgery done there, but their waitlists are closed due to high demand until 'sometime next year’ and from what I can tell waiting time is usually around 2 years anyway.
The fact that FEDUP still has a BMI limit for WCH when I didn’t even know they ever had one is honestly extremely reassuring. It could mean there are other surgeons that have increased or removed their BMI cut offs that I hadn’t even considered yet.
