you said that everyone is entitled to their own opinion yet you said that it was good that op was unhappy??

teaboot:

Yes?

If I say “cover your nose when you sneeze” and everyone agrees that this is a good thing to do, and one person isn’t happy with this and says sneezing into an open salad bar is fine, then they are wrong, and telling them “that’s okay, we’ll make an exception, YOU can sneeze on the food” is bad.

The person is wrong. They’re ALLOWED to be wrong. But if the only way to make them happy is to cater to their wrongness and risk public safety, I don’t care

If someone is angry that nobody wants to be exposed to snot salad, then I’m comfortable making them unhappy. Their unhappiness in this case is a good sign.

Am I thrilled that they are experiencing bad feelings? No. But in this case, their bad feelings are a good indicator of a healthy e vironment. You know?

I’m not saying you should bully them, or kick them out of the restaurant, but they certainly shouldn’t be sneezing on the salad. You can be wrong without making that everyone else’s problem.

So, yeah. I don’t care that they’re upset, but they’re allowed to be wrong. You know?

You don’t need to fight someone cause they think bad foodsafe procedures are cool, just don’t share from their plate

It doesn’t feel complex
