Porn is famously undefineable and can include everything from vaguely erotic texts to exceptionally graphic kink content. As such, I would argue that Shir HaShirim (Song of Songs) absolutely counts as pornographic. This does not lessen its kadosh - holiness - set-apart-ness - as it is still in the Tanakh and one of the 5 megillot to boot. Instead, I would argue that the redactors of the Tanakh were positing that porn can also be in service of the holy, and furthermore, that the ultimate form of music - THE song out of ALL songs - Song of Songs - is porn. in this essay, I will -
