Just saw somebody use the phrase “indirect incest” and I think my brain melted.
For context, this was about two sisters whose boyfriends were related to each other. Like these two sisters were out there dating men that they were not related to. And the men were dating these two sisters, who they were not related to. Nobody was related to anybody they were dating. But the fact that the sisters’ boyfriends were related to each other makes it indirect incest. I am going to eat glass.
This is “dating short people makes you a pedophile” type logic
I once joked to a friend that I should go flirt with the guy in our group who had the same first name as me. In a “haha wouldn’t that be funny” way, (like today I’d say “imagine the ship names!”)
Friend said, “That’s super incest-y, don’t do that.”
And nope, friend really meant “incest-y”, “like you’re almost related but not really, feels like that.”

I mean some parents just have bad taste in names. But naming someone Incesty is pretty bad.
