researcher win: i fell in love with a vintage italian chandelier on my thrifting travels yesterday, but the seller had it priced VERY high. got home, looked it up, discovered that nobody on ebay was successfully selling it at any price, and it was going at auction for a few hundred dollars. went back to the store and offered the owner an amount that was over auction but still a full $1000 less than they were asking. they said no. left, got in my car, offered an ebay seller even less. they said yes. got my italian chandelier, all powered by RESEARCH
