Are we counting fire arms in this? Because there are far more fire arms that any other type of weapon at this point and I don’t know if those are bladed or not. Do pointed bullets count as blades? Are rounded ones high velocity blunt force trauma?

i don’t think a bullet counts as a weapon on its own? if you just have a handful of bullets, you can’t do much with them

but yea guns count

wait do you mean in total or like by type (like 2 of the same model of gun is still 1 gun but a pike and a spear are 2 weapons)? and is this currently in use or throughout history?

by type, and throughout history

i think the majority of people on this poll dont understand just how much of history bladed weapons have been the default for

bladed weapons existed before modern humans did, for at least 2 million years now

and, more importantly, bladed weapons encourage diversity in a way non bladed weapons don’t

like, the strongest contender for non bladed weapon with the most types is the club

and the thing is, like a quarter of all those types Have blades

turns out that one of the most commons things to do to a non bladed weapon is to add blades to it (bayonets, bladed arrows and bolts, bladed clubs hammers and flails, etc)

and then you have to factor in the fact that nearly every bladed tool in history has been picked up in defense or in anger

every kind of kitchen knife and every farming implement has been made into a type of bladed weapon

it is obvious that there are more kinds of bladed weapon in the world

I think there are more blunt weapons because they are the weapons that serve the most cunt (it rhymes and thus must be true)
