Hello, my name is Waseem Abusafi from Gaza-Palestine. and I am 34 years old, I have a 3-year-old son named Qais, and my wife Amal Asqoul is 27 years old. I worked in the field of accounting for companies and institutions for 12 years. My wife worked as a psychologist in international organizations.
The recent war has turned our lives upside down 💔. Our area, infrastructure, and entire community were destroyed 🥲. We lost many family members, most dearly my eldest and youngest aunts, along with their children and grandchildren, in an airstrike at the same time and place. They were innocent civilians with no connection to the war. We were forced to relocate from northern Gaza to the south, and have been displaced multiple times in search of safety.

What did my child Qais do to deserve starting his life between the alleys of a tent in extreme heat? There is no water, electricity, food, or medicine. We are barely surviving, and it’s extremely difficult 💔🇵🇸. The place where we live houses 2 million displaced people in an area of just 5 square kilometers.
Despite the immense grief and loss, we are determined to protect our son and rebuild our lives. We need your help to evacuate to Egypt and start anew. 🙏🏼
