Is the AI they’re using to decode ancient extinct languages and bird/whale singing the same kind of AI as like ChatGPT? Could it be having “hallucinations” just like ChatGPT does? How do we know its decodings are right?

And similarly, aren’t there all these papers coming out saying like “we listened to and analyzed a ton of birdsong and whale calls, they’re definitely using some kind of language”?
