i really wish the Matt Mullenweg Meltdown was easier to follow and explain because his public career suicide is extremely funny and i think i only understand about ¼th of it fully
have to note here that none of the CURRENT matt stuff has anything to do with his trans woman banning rampage earlier this year. it’s a completely new, separate thing. the people mad at him about this current thing are, as far as I can tell, completely unaware of his earlier behavior on Tumblr.
I haven’t had the time or energy to comment on the reddit threads where this stuff is being hashed out/Matt is being yelled at, but I think the WordPress and WP Engine people and all their interested clients should probably be informed about the shit he did on Tumblr this year. i don’t expect it would alter the trajectory of events in any way, I just think it would stir shit and be funny to add it into the mix 😀
