someone paid money for a type of twitter ad that’s usually meant for promoting TV shows and movies and used it to get your account to tweet out the word ‘carp’ and link the wikipedia page for carps when you click the link
so now for the last hour half of the tweets on everyone’s twitter timeline has been just the word ‘carp’
this is the most tumblr-esque event I’ve seen on twitter
