I feel like ai art would be fun if we were all still just typing random prompts into it like mushroom giving a ted talk and going lol this looks stupid wasn’t that fun but instead people are like trying to replace jobs with it
I had fun going like “computer, show me cat with long tail” and then the cat looks twisted and distorted and wrong and I clap my hands and go hahaha very good computer but then it turns out the computer is using up a lot of electricity and stealing things and that other people think that by telling the computer to make cat with long tail that makes them an artist for some reason?
There’s nothing like inherently wrong with wanting to make this type of technology I think. The problem is that instead of going “wow, cool.” a bunch of people went oh finally I can stop paying my employees
