This is a good thing! A lot of stuff that’s considered “common knowledge” is actually wrong or misleading, or it really has changed since you learned it. It was common knowledge that the Sun revolver around the Earth…except that’s not true. It’s common knowledge to hide under freeway overpasses during tornadoes…except this is extremely dangerous and warned against. It’s common knowledge that you have to wait 24-48 hours in the US to file a missing person report…except it’s actually recommended to file as soon as you know someone’s missing because the first few days are the most critical to finding them.
I get that this post is about anxiety and memory issues, but the truth is that knowledge changes all the time. It’s good to avoid spreading false information, even if you do it by accident.
