So been binging a couple of food competition shows recently on Netflix, and I absolutely don’t understand how Netflix haven’t cracked the formula on this.

So many shows have one or two hosts and only two judges? The hosts don’t do any judging and just exist to awkwardly quip. Two judges means there’s never any serious disagreement so episodes consist of them basically spectating competitor fuck-ups as opposed to judging innovation or anything.

And Netflix shows also seem to do two rounds, a challenge round and an elimination round but the winner of the challenge round never gets any advantage or protection from elimination.
