Back in the 00s people talked about how carbon dioxide trapping heat doesn’t necessarily mean the temperature will go up significantly, because of compensating processes. Maybe at a higher temperature more clouds will form and reflect light, or maybe plants will take up more carbon when there’s more available. Seems like nothing compensated that much cause carbon dioxide concentration just kept going up and the earth just kept getting warmer. Haha well now we know!
