there’s a really good scene in the comics where Superman is posing as Bruce Wayne and Deathstroke comes to assassinate him
To be clear, Deathstroke was hired to kill Bruce Wayne. He has no idea about any of the Batman stuff and he definitely doesn’t know “Bruce” is currently a bulletproof alien demigod.
So he slips “Bruce” a deadly neurotoxin but it just makes Superman really drunk so Deathstroke tries to stab him but obviously his sword breaks and Superman, who is currently completely shitfaced, throws Deathstroke, who has no idea what the hell is happening, into the ocean
