Your birth certificate is a record you should be able to change and this certainly violates every Texan’s right to self-identification.
I was born in Texas. And I only lived in that state for four months. I tried changing my birth certificate a few years ago and ran into some utterly asinine roadblocks. I had been trying to find a option to resubmit my request. Only for this. Now. Now I can’t change it at all. A state I never lived in now holds my birth certificate hostage. This is horrific.
