Biological sex is not and has never been a binary. The complexity of the natural world cannot be contained in neat little societal boxes. Stop using science to justify your bigotry.

The answer, whether it’s sex, gender, types of fish, whether fish exist or not, or whether you yourself are a fish, is and always has been “it depends”

it would be super cool if someone had mentioned intersex people in this post talking about some of the different intersex conditions that exist(all non standard chromosome combinations are considered intersex)

So it is genuinely possible even in practice for humans to both be male and female.
I really wish more intersex people knew this as well, because even we are taught to fall heads over heels to go “but we can’t actually be both at once, we’re still only really one or the other”
Obviously not blaming any intersex people for this, I was very much like that before I learned about this. But I think it would be good if we didn’t have to self flaggelate every time we talk about our biology to appease a perisex society
