i think we should bring this back (with some amendments ofc) if we ever needed an “internet etiquette” for the younger generations, now is the moment to remind them. purity culture kills fandom
Don’t Like, Don’t Read (DL;DR), Your Kink is not My Kink And That’s OK (YKINMKATO) and Ship and Let Ship
I would like to present a counter-argument
“The Master’s Quest: Meet Annabella” was published nearly 4 years ago
There is no porn of it
There is no Fandom
There are no genderbent versions of any of the characters
No one ships any of the characters with anyone
There is no AU
I’ve done a shitty job promoting this book, by probably most people’s standards; but I’ve still sold maybe 200 copies. I genuinely have mentioned it a number of times on this blog though. Despite the fact probably no one reading this will know what I’m talking about.
My point is, I’m literal living proof that the internet is wrong and has been for years.
I have defeated the internet through sheer power of “I’m bad at selling and people don’t want to be advertised to”
So I win. I beat rule 34 and every other rule on that list. I win and the entire internet loses
