The lack of hoists in healthcare settings is so ridiculous.
Whenever I’m referred for any testing which requires me getting out of my wheelchair I have to tell the referring clinician usually more than once, and then when I get the appointment I need to phone up and make sure that they have a hoist.
And even then, even after repeating myself several times and several people assuring me that there’s a hoist and it’s all okay, 50% of the time I get there and there’s no hoist.
