I think one thing people forgot about terfs is how RACIST they are towards women of color (god forbid be a trans woman of color) and how those people uphold white supremacist views of gender.
women of color being hypermasculinized is not a new thing. it’s happened for decades, it’s just it’s been brought to light more with how other white women, especially those who wear the feminist label, throw these women of color, MAINLY BROWN AND BLACK WOMEN, under the bus and dehumanize them. as a black person this is nothing new to me, it’s just gross to see this as an ongoing issue. its transmisognistic and has roots in misogynoir.
as a black queer person, saying this to my white queers, you gotta understand that like, this goes beyond just transphobia/queerphobia and is specifically rooted in racism/anti blackness. you gotta be able to point out the racism too when it comes to specific issues like this.
