while it’s all well and good to teach people how to understand and criticize the messages and morals in fictional media, i think it’s ultimately more important to teach people that they shouldn’t be getting their understanding of ethics from fiction full stop period.

please use the Good Place as an entry point to pique your interest in reading the philosophers it talks about and learning about the ethical concepts it mentions instead of just learning all your ethics from a zany comedy show where time is shaped like the name “jeremy bearimy” π
