whenever i eat fish i get so impossibly pissed off because i cant eat it more frequently, than like once in two months when its on sale. and the reason why i get pissed off is because i live in a coastal fisherman town.
but the fish caught here is too expensive for me to purchase because the restaurants (for rich tourists) drive the price up. not only that but i cant even buy fish on the peškarija in my own city because its more expensive than the one from the store.
tourism is a form of neocolonialism. its destructive to the native working class. people cannot find apartments to live in here for the full year because landlords will throw them out in june and take them back in october. im all for travelling the world but please think about what tourism does to the countries affected by it.
