Hazem is a lifelong friend of @bilal-salah0, and now someone I’m lucky enough to call a friend of my own. He’s living in Belgium and studying dentistry (sometimes, both of us are messaging each other when we can’t focus on our studying 🤧) and he hasn’t been able to see his family since 2018.
Donations have been trickling in slowly. Hazem needs to raise enough to evacuate 5 adults (his parents and 3 adult brothers) and 2 children (his younger brother and sister), all currently displaced in Jabalia Camp. Because the Rafah crossing might open soon, and might not stay open for long, he needs to raise the money as soon as possible so that he won’t miss a limited evacuation window. In the meantime, conditions in north Gaza are deteriorating, and it’s painful for Hazem having to watch his family suffer from abroad.
So far he’s raised enough to evacuate his younger brother. His next goal is an additional €5,000 by the end of this weekend to cover his little sister—can we give this campaign a serious push for her sake?
