Yes let’s attack one of the largest blog on here for being skeptical. Let’s make absolutely certain they never help our cause and only double down on their skepticism. It’s not like they weren’t around during Tumblr’s Russian Spy epoc and Sixpenceeee’s Child Slave saga. Poorly handled from both sides. What a waste.

Russian spy?!

Ah you must be new here

https://www.npr.org/2018/03/27/597021235/tumblrs-ban-of-russian-accounts-adds-detail-to-targeting-of-black-americans

“Their goal is to sow division and discontent in the countries they target,” said a post on Tumblr’s own official blog. “What makes them so difficult to spot is that they’re not spambots. They’re real people who get trained and paid to spread propaganda.”

hi it seems that jeff also supports large blogs who are doubling down on and destroying hope for survival of palestinians begging for help just to escape the fucking genocide. im sure your huge gimmick blog will be fucking fine UNLIKE PEOPLE WHOSE DONATIONS STALLED BECAUSE OF THIS RACIST SHITSHOW. free blocklist indeed

Block me all you want- couldn’t care less. You prove OPs point. You are part of the problem making false accusations. I receive the same ask thirty times, from thirty different accounts, every hour. Can we use both our brain and heart or is your goal to attack and polarise as much of the silent majority as possible and only be left over with a handful of diehards wondering why not more people are donating to the vetted campaigns (which I would love to support by the way fyi)

yeah no ALL of this.

plus, having been scammed a few times myself by non-political bots and scammers, I have unfortunately become wary of the tactics they use, and they absolutely can, will, and do stoop so low as to pretend to be refugees. plus scammers know to use common names to avoid raising suspicion, it’s what makes the scam believable.

I know the whole “its on him if hes scamming me, but its on me if i think someone needs help and i dont take the opportunity to help them.” I get that. I respect the hell out of that. But you guys need to get a grip.

I had several side blogs that have zero followers, and I CONSTANTLY got the same message over and over from sock accounts begging me to share their story with my zero followers. I ended up deleting those blogs.

Anyway here is a good list of things to look out for in scam messaging as someone who has fallen for scams in the past:

  1. Overuse of emojis (often an inappropriate amount or inappropriate in the context of the message)
  2. Sketchy links from non-vetted sites such as bitly urls and the like.
  3. (This one is especially if you get more than one message from “different” people): If they all use the same names and stories. Not similar. Not close enough. The exact fucking same with very little if any variation.
  4. They begin the message with “Hello, dear” or “Hello, my dear” and overly compliment you for no good reason. Yes, I know folks in the middle east are very friendly and hospitable people, but they’re not so friendly that it would make you feel uncomfortable or like they’re trying to be inappropriate.
  5. They insist you speak with them/add them/share their story via Telegram, Whatsapp, Kik, etc.
  6. They bother low-follower, no-follower, or dead accounts for exposure.

This isn’t a complete list, but all of these are precisely why I have shared very few GFM campaigns across all of my social media accounts, blogs, profiles, etc. Good luck, and please be smart about this. I’m not falling for propaganda. I’m not being a racist, zionist asshole. I’m using my actual lived experiences with scammers.

Free Palestine.

I am convinced that they are copy pasting and assembling together the spam asks

I saw two asks with the same exact two sentences amongst others which had the same exact uncommon typos

And when I went to one of them the pinned post said that gofundme doesn’t allow Palestinians anymore and provides a PayPal

Which I discovered is banned from receiving donations for some mysterious reason
