god, so i saw a terf reblog this, which ive been worried would happen ever since it broke containment. To clarify, people’s willingness to look away from sexual assault and harassment when it happens to people they deem undesirable is a large part of transphobia.
trans people are constant targets for for sexual abuse in a society that only ever sees them as perpetrators. This is not an accident. To a transphobic society trans people are inconvenient and undesirable victims. They are forcibly denied victim status and painted as monstrous to justify their continued abuse
