Did you know in Europe it’s standard practice to vaccinate chickens against salmonella? That’s why they store their eggs on the shelf at room temp. We can’t do that in America because we don’t vaccinate against salmonella in chickens. Because it’s considered too expensive/not cost effective.

I wonder if you can buy a vaccine in the US. It’s a really awful disease for the birds, I wouldn’t want any of my babies going through that.
