The method of thinking in this meme is extremely dangerous because it intends to paralyze a voter from otherwise voting. It is a civic duty to vote even if the options are 99% Evil, or 100% Evil, because even the slightest victory pushes the entire country a little bit closer to positive change. Now stopping at voting and thinking you’re done is not how government works. The government is like a freight train that is not easily started or stopped. This is why its necessary to slow the train going down this route at any opportunity presented to you and voting is a good opportunity to do that.

If we take this in isolation then 99% of evil is the imperfect form of evil, which means it’s going to allow for more vulnerabilities in the system to apply more breaks on said system.

Not only that, that single 1% reduction may be the flaw needed to save some lives and make them sway things even harder.

Always vote for the lesser of two evils than not vote at all. Someone’s life might depend on it.

I think its interesting that instead of refuting any aspect of this they jump to a moral judgement.

I’ve always wondered what inspires an anti-voting mentality in US Americans. It seems that at least for this person it’s deontology.
