I suspect this is the Tories flailing around and trying to up the culture war stuff after the kicking they got in the local elections. I’m hoping that all this fuckery will stay in limbo until the election, then get quietly dropped by a Labour government who know it won’t actually be a vote-winner. But UK politics may well disappoint me yet again, so we need to stay alert in case this comes back.
I was not expecting the day that my home country’s LGBTQIA+ policies become more “woke” than the ones of a supposedly developed country like the UK.
Yet that day seems ever nearer.
