every show should have a labyrinth episode. like a beach episode but where the characters all get stuck in the labyrinth, regardless of the tone or setting of the rest of the show.
Community season 2 AU where the study group has to go into the library stacks to find an old book on an outrageously obscure topic for a class paper. Pierce has a senior moment and wanders off. Abed is naturally the only one who thinks it’s a bad idea to split up to look for him, and throughout the episode he witnesses all his friends being yoinked around corners and screaming and generally being “murdered” Scooby-Doo style. Eventually he finds out there’s a whole subterranean cult of librarians who protect the stacks after they found Leonard defacing books and Abed has to rescue his friends with the Power of Knowing How Scooby-Doo Plots Work. It turns out the Dean organized a library security task force in response to the vandalism and then found out after months of complete radio silence that they were using school funds to buy sweet cultist robes and decided he would overlook it if they let him join.
