Classically trained opera singer and Shock Rock pioneer Jalacy J. Hawkins, better known as Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, definitely put a spell on his droves of female fans - upon his death in Februrary 2000, it was discovered that Hawkins could possibly have been the father of up to 75 children.
A website, jayskids.com, was launched to find as many of Hawkins’ children as possible. Confirmed children of Hawkins were found to live all over the world, from Hawaii to France and everywhere in-between. A meetup eventually brought a dozen or so of Hawkins’s children together.
To this day, the number 75 remains just an estimate of how many children Hawkins has. As of the time of writing this article, jayskids.com is no longer active.
