something that’s pretty funny to me is that every time a new Splatoon game drops they have to invent a new pair of famous bozos to do the news casts but they specifically can’t be TOO famous because if they were HUGE then it wouldn’t really make sense anymore for them to have the time to run a news show every day. so they’re always just Kind Of famous in This One area.
the second the Squid Sisters got big on their solo careers, they left Inkopolis News immediately and Off the Hook slid in. when they left on their world tour and really got big, it was time for Deep Cut. the news show is never more than, like, a stepping stone for them. it’s just a gig they do until they find something better. and that’s really funny to me for some reason
