okay no but listen to me I have a good premise for this lil ship
the two of them start dating before the bishops ascend to their power but over time as heket starts growing into her crown it begins to change her in ways forneus isn’t ready for; she still cares for heket, but she doesn’t like where this is going during that time tho heket is able to do smth that leaves forneus immortal, or at least stops her from aging past a certain point but at some point it becomes too much for forneus to bear, and she breaks it off to save herself from the pain of seeing her beloved go down a path she doesn’t want to follow. she remains as close as she can get, being a worshipper of heket and the old faith and when heket and three of her siblings imprison narinder she officially turns her back, seeing it unjust and turning to worship/wish to aid narinder instead of her ex (and during that time, she has baal and aym, who are subsequently taken by shamura to give to narinder)
post-game, when all the bishops are freed and crownless, heket remains so very down bad for the ex she’s still pining hard for while forneus is definitely gonna need some time and getting to know heket again before anything happens, which is even more tricker by the fact forneus likes to travel around and not stay in one spot for too long
(also. I just think it’d be funny if baal and aym were like, narinder’s step-nephews; I don’t personally hc them to be father-sons like a lot of people do, but like the idea of narinder still being a bit soft for the twins in a guardian sort of way)
