quick question for you mr. Ortiel
I’ve been playing cookie clicker for just under a year now and am at 299 quadrillion raw cookies baked per second, and just got my achievement for 1 septillion cookies baked. I have never ascended once and have about 10,500 heavenly chips saved up.
everything I see on the internet says I should have ascended ages ago but,,, I’m scared :(
so I thought I’d go straight to the source- at what point in the game did you intend for people to ascend for the first time?

i’m not sure but popular wisdom seems to be that a couple hundred heavenly chips is the most sensible spot for a first ascension! you should be able to get back to your current cookies within a few days if not much faster. ascensions gatekeep a lot of the fun stuff actually
