What's a hung parliament? I can imagine a few interpretations of "hung" and none of them sound right

Basically when no one party makes up a majority. This is particularly true when the voting system is First Past the Post.

It would require two or more parties to work together to create the government so Labour + Greens + SNP or Tories + DUP.

It would force the hand of whoever had the majority of seats to offer concessions to the parties they’d make a deal with.

If Labour get an absolute majority, they’ll just continue Tory policy so much prefer them answering to parties who can threaten their power.
