I think those autism screening quizzes are more about testing whether you understand the question than about how you answer them. Like they’ll make neurotypical people go “hmm, this is worded weirdly but I get what they’re trying to say” and people on the spectrum internally screaming “WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SUPPOSED TO FUCKING MEAN??!!”
Like to my knowledge I’m not actually autistic, but I’ve been tested enough times and know enough people on the spectrum to go “hm okay, I can see the logic in which this question would be absolutely unfathomable to someone who thinks in an autistic way, but I can pick up what kind of answers the quiz is trying to look for so I’m going to give the most appropriate answer by neurotypical parametres.”
Whether this is a spectrum way to go about it or not is a mystery to me. Perhaps I will know once I’ve completed this quiz.
