I’m actually going to scream.
You know what I found out?
December 10th is International Human rights day.
This year it will be the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
… 75 years…
The same amount of time as the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine.
One of the most horrific ongoing human rights violations, started the the same year the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was created.
One that the world is trying to ignore and silence people from speaking about.
Israel is illegally occupying and killing Palestinians.
It is a genocide.
And it’s not just Palestinians.
Sudanese, Congolese, Armenian’s, Kashmiri, Tigrayans, Uyghurs, and many many others are undergoing their own genocides and denial of basic human rights.
And places like Israel, the UK, the US are complicit and funding them.
None of these tragedies occur in a vaccum.
Don’t let the world forget what’s going on.
Don’t let them brush these atrocities off as they celebrate this day.
On a day celebrating human rights, we need to discuss who is being denied there human rights.
