Why are people so stupid I just saw an ig reel of an artist being like “tee hee we weren’t allowed to record at this nude life drawing session but I took a risk!!! Here’s my processes I videoed” you idiot thats such a huge violation of that model’s privacy. They’re not saying you can’t record because they hate you they’re saying that you can’t record to keep the model out of a potentially exploitative environment that’s such a shitty thing to do. They have rules for those sessions for a reason and as an artist you should be trying to make the situation as respectful and comfortable as you can for the model you’re drawing and that includes keeping your fucking camera device in your pocket
Also they put a kind of nsfw song over it and idk how to articulate this but it feels really shitty to take a person who’s literally just doing their job as a figure model and not only record when asked not to but then also portray them in a sexual light for no reason. Like life drawing sessions are not sexy in the slightest and the models are not there to be sexualised and its not right to do that to them. If you can’t abide by the boundaries established in life drawing sessions then you don’t respect the model that you’re drawing and you shouldn’t be there in the first place because it’s a very delicate situation that can go south and hurt people very easily
Idk maybe I’m being overdramatic over this but if did any of that shit my professors would literally have kicked me out of the program
